Craftsman DLT 3000 Will not start

I have a DLT 3000 with the GVX530 Honda motor. It will not start. I have replaced the coils (found that only one cylinder was firing). After this it would not run evenly or run at all at low throttle. Found that carb was not clean. My friendly old neighbor managed to damage the needle valves (?) in the bowl while helping me clean it. Now I have bought a new carb (original Honda part), new fuel line from the tank, new fuel filter, new plugs. The starter will not always engage the flywheel now. It has a new battery. I checked the compression, 80 in each cylinder. It is getting fuel into the carb, I can drain it out the bottom. It does not even sound like it will start even a little bit.

HELP, what do I do next?????
