john deere issues

I have a l100 john deere mower/tractor. We have been having issues this summer with it starting. Also with it staying running. So first I replaced the air filter. Second checked the battery and connections. Next I replaced the fuel filter, followed by the fuel pump. While doing so I blew out all of the hoses. Lastley I changed the fuse and spark plug. After the plug was changed it wont fully crank over anymore. Now it struggles and only (I guess) half cranks. Side notes; the fuel filter is about a 1/3 full, it doesn't seem like fuel is making it to the pump or anywhere past that. Please help

Get the battery charged & LOAD TESTED.
Auto Zone etc. can do that.

IF a Briggs OHV, adjust the valves, since the compression release requires proper valve lash for it to function.

Thanks man. This might sound alittle stupid but I have no idea what valves u are talking about, were they are, or how to adjust them? Not much experiece and never had anyone to teach me mechanical stuff

IF it's a Briggs engine, go to their website and download the IPL for your specific engine.
You'll need the Model & Type number.
At least you can see what parts go where.

You never really specified WHAT starting "issues" you were experiencing.

What was the result of the battery load test? IF the battery isn't up to snuff, doing a valve adjustment is putting the cart before the horse.
