You are referring to the 2 spark plug cables?
To remove the magneto and spark plug cables you must remove the rotating screen AND the flywheel fan housing.
If you are attempting to pull the spark plug cables out without removing the fan housing it will not work.
The kill wire just unplugs from the magneto and stays there, you then plug it to the new magneto.
Make sure you mount the magneto in the same way it came off (as to where the spark plug cables are situated on the magneto).
