| OK so here is a weird dilemma. My yard is just over 1/2 acre. My current 42" rider is on it's last leg so I was looking for a replacement.
I think the replacement that I'd want is the YT3000 42". Sears has it for around $1400. But I can get the same YT3000 46" for 870$ at the Sears Outlet store. So I guess I'd like advice from smarter people on whether I should just try to find an LT for my smaller yard or go for YT. Also, is 46" much bigger in overall size (width of tractor) or is it mainly just the blades/deck. Thanks for any/all help, KJ |

| Either tractor will work for your application. I personally tend to like the 42" deck better. They run smoother to me. |

| My experience only: 1)46" (3 blades) gives me a much better looking cut - with mulch blades the clippings are exceptionally fine. 2)When I trim bushes/hedges, I rake the clippings on the grass and go over with my 46" yardmachine with mulching kit. Results were totally unacceptable when I tried with 42"-2 blade LT. (I tried two of them) 3) 46" tends to scalp a little more on uneven/hilly terrain. 4) 46" harder to go through gates and transport on a 4' trailer 5) tractor is the same - deck is 4" wides on 46" unit. Good luck |

| The new 46" are twin blades. I think the longer blades create more vibration overall. |

| Good Point of info on the Twin Blade Design and downside Tom ! |
