I have the 25hp briggs 445777 in craftsman 917.272201 on which the sump gasket needs replacement. You had a posting on where you replaced same on 25hp els, and listed 3 photos. In the second photo . . . where is the governor connection . . . is that the 45 degree piece that lines up with the cam shaft? You mention in a posting on May 12,11 that you do not need to disconnect the governor arm but rather just disconnect the governor springs to the arm to avoid reassembly issues when reinstalling the cover. Where is this governor spring located? Is it a big thick spring or a small spring. I assume you disconnect this spring before you pull engine bolts?

It doesn't appear that you disconnected the external oil pump bolts (3) with small cover. Is that correct?

Anything else to look for? Yah . . .I'm a rookie.

Really appreciated your postings on this issue. Any help with above would be very appreciated.
