Husqvarna Stalls After Releasing Foot Brake

I recently replaced plugs, air filter, and fuel filter. But, when re-starting the engine always stalls when I release the foot brake. I know that I always did have to hold down the foot brake when I started the engine, but when I subsequently released the brake, the engine continued to run, and off I'd go. There must be some kind of microswitch that is "in there" and not acting properly. I can't find any connection on the wiring diagram. Does anyone have an idea of what's wrong? The grass is growing and I'm with out a mower! Thanks...

Oh, I have a Husqvarna YTH2148 with 21 HP B&S twin engine.

Most likely it is the seat safety switch or the connector at this switch that the little safety spring has shorted across. It is sensing no operator presents. Of course this being the most likely cause , but is an easy thing to test or just grab a new switch and pop it on.

Well, I ran into the same problem and it doesn't look like it is the seat problem because I experience this while seated.

I'm still working on issue, could be an interlock aka brake switch. Ive replaced the interlock switch, jumped the seat switch, the pto switch which is good, now I'm not sure where to go next
