not sure what you mean by "does not pick up, mows inconsistent"? Does it have a bagging or grass catcher assembly?

Thanks for the reply. Yes it has a plastic bagging assembly. The main problem seems to be that the blades just aren't spinning as fast as they should. Drives with plenty of power. TY again.

That has a manual PTO.

I'd check the deck belt.
Also make sure the idler pullie(s) aren't binding and can pivot fully to engage/disengage.

You might also examine the blades. I've seen a few pics of blades used in very sandy soil that were worn down to a couple nubs.

Just put on a new deck belt, it had been awhile and it was worn, didn't improve much. I will check the other stuff now, thanks.

It engages fine it seems, the belt and blades spin it just seems to be a lack of power even though the thing still cruises in 6th gear.
