Are ther any wheel adapters made that I can mount lug stile rims onto a key-way axel shaft?

RE: converting hubs

To my knowlege, only a few machines are capable of doing that. I have an older (late 80's) Deere RER which has wheels keyed to axle shaft. Same model also came with hubs keyed to shaft, and then wheels bolted up with 3 lugs. Spacing was like a 5 lug, but with 2 lugs missing.

More often, the axle shafts are forged with a flange which either forms the hub, or has some kind of spline arrangement to couple to hub. A keyed shaft arrangement is less expensive but not as strong, so there is little advantage to use a keyed shaft and then fit a demountable hub on the stub.

You might try taking your transmission number, adn try to do a "where-used" search and see if it goes to any tractors with demountable wheels.

Good luck.

My Simplicity Landlord (yr model 2000) has this setup. It has a Tufftorq 71E transmission in it with the 5 lug automotive style mounting (Thanks to Mownie for the help on that one).

It originally came with lug bolts, but we changed it over to lug studs with lug nuts. This is a very nice setup. Makes changing from turf tread style tires to ag tread tires a breeze.

I have a really old Dynamark tractor with the 5-hole rear wheels. They are larger than i have seen on anything newer. Can't get out to see the size, but they aren't small, and they are the big lug style.
