Wheel Horse ZTR 616-Z - convert to a mulchng mower

I have a Wheel Horse ZTR 616-Z with a side discharge 42" deck. The deck is currently utilizes 3 gator blades which seem to work well if I mow the lawn at 3 3/4 - 4".
Here is my questions?
Has anyone converted a non-mulching deck to a mulching deck by adding gator blades and closing off the side discharge shoot? What type of results did you get? Did the engine and deck seem adequate for this modification?

| I bag everything however have several customers who just want to mulch. Most of your popular brands have a mulch cover available today and they work quite well, just a lot of under deck cleanup required, and why they make dethatchers. |
