Gravely 2350 - Troubleshooting

Last time out I was not able to cut grass because when I tried to engage the mower blades the machine died.

After a couple of starts and attempts to engage the mower, the mower belt came off. When I re-installed the belt the engine would NOT start.

When the key was turned to RUN position I heard a loud click and after a few attempts I determined it was around the mower belt clutch. No reaction from key at the START position.

Came in the house to study the service and parts manuals.

Checked for continuity in the ignition and in the PTO Clutch Switch - everything checked with the service manual.

Checked resistance in the coil on the PTO clutch - 3.8 - nicely between the 3.28 and 4.02 stated in the manual.

Page 11-37 on the Service Manual says check out the diodes next. I am not sure where or what these are or how I woudl check them.

Would appreciate any experienced direction on what to check next (and how).

Trying to save a trip to the shop.

Thanks

Bob
