Snapper LT100 Bagger

Hi all, new to this forum and have a question regarding a bagger for my snapper lt100 tractor. This machine has a 46" deck and was purchased at Sears. Now, I know that this is the lower end Snapper but I don't want to pay Sears money for the triple bagger at about $550. I have been told that Snapper/Simplicity bought out Murray and this machine has a murray deck. I am looking for a double or triple bagger that will fit this deck (the deck boot, at least). Does anyone know what bagger setups may work with this machine? My local Snapper dealer has been less than friendly anyway because I "did not buy from the dealer". Sears had this on closeout last year for a few hundred off so I could not pass it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! #7600070 is the snapper number for the triple bag setup. I tried a Husqvarna 46" double bag unit that would not work with the deck....

Murray had a common bagger 24760 which fit the 42's and 46's. No clue if it fit your application. A mower bone yard maybe? Companies that build tow behind bagger units also list the boots separately. You could at least compare their numbers for possible matches.

Thanks tomplum. I had thought about buying a universal boot to fit the machine and then adding a big box store bagger, and adapting it to fit. I also have the issue of mounting the bagger to the rear of the tractor and I have added a 2" ball already for moving some light equipment around the yard. I figure I will have to weld up some angle or square tubing to mount the bagger hardware either way. I will check that murray number you posted and again thank you. Anyone else have any ideas?

OK, I finally remembered enough about an old thread to locate it in a search & retrieval operation.
The thread is about a tow-behind cart project by gmcman. There is also an embedded link in the thread which redirects you to another site with an even more ambitious "leaf shredder cart". The shredder cart project was not finished within the scope of that thread, and I have no clue if that project was ever finished and results posted in a later, separate thread. gmcman's cart project appeared to be a "real deal, working unit", so there is plenty of hope, and some options for the very handy, well equipped DIY person.

Here is a link that might be useful: Lawn vac carts

Thanks mownie and others. I don't think I will invest the appx. $400-500 on a bagger setup from Snapper/Sears. Although the wife won't quite approve, I think I will take that money and put it towards a middle of the road cyclone rake. I have a lot of leaves to deal with here in western mass and the oaks are holdin' em' to the end. The cyclones seem to get good reviews and they are $150 off now til end of november...
