an't the 430s diesels? Know anything about diesels? just in case? I would think this would add to any repair costs that you can't so yourself? but just guessing don't own one myself, but worth checking out maybe??

Yep, the 430 is a diesel. Good points by rc to consider. The real deal on these are when you can get attachments you'll use. The 400 series was a great tractor, but they are at the point of needing extras due their age being 20-25 years old. Think things like tires and hoses starting to check, seals starting to seep etc. With some care, the right tractor could probably mow along for another 1500 hours with no big problems and then some.

Those are good garden tractors but getting a little long in the tooth at early to mid 1980's model. I'd say worth around $3K if in pretty good shape including cosmetics.

I couldn't turn it down....bought her for 4800. Loving that diesel sound and smell! I've gone over it with a fine tooth comb, found no leaks or seepage anywhere. This machine has obviously been well taken care of!

Nice little tractor , my neighbour has a 1984 model and yes Tom it has a Yanmar 20 HP Diesel .
