I have a Cub Cadet LTX 1050. I have installed commercial grade mulching blades and the mulching plug on the mower deck. It does a terrific job of pulverizing the leaves into powder when the leaves are spread thin. But, if the leaves are more abundant or thicker, the deck leaves a narrow row of intact leaves in the center of my pathway. A second pass over these will achieve the desired clean lawn look. The blades are sharp, the underside of the deck is clean, and I have tried different deck heights. Is there a solution I have overlooked??

Possibly. 50" decks on the LT1050 models had a baffle added to change the air flow at the front of the deck. My suggestion would be to call Cub direct and see if it applies here. I had installed only 1 in years past, but may be able to dig the number up if need be. Also, depending on what blades you had installed- they may not be made to work with the baffle. I suppose you could try it without.

Was CCC the mfgr of those commercial blades or were they aftermarket products ?
