I could be wrong, but I wouldn't see a lot of monetary reward here. Restore for a project? I'll on occasion run across someone who has something rare old odd etc and it ends up being left to turn to dust. Ebay?

Most likely is a Tecumseh V60. Tecumseh carbs are very touchy, I'd check and make sure the choke is closing all the way first. A carb kit is probably a good idea with how old it is. New carb is $18.72 on Amazon

I agree with tomplum. i have one of these 6hp motors off my 1960ish rider somewhere.... someone on this forum was looking for one of these motors i just couldn't find mine.

Homesteader, Tecumseh carbs - i beg to differ. The recent T plastic carbs with no mix screws i found picky.

They sure have come up w/ crazy cheap prices on aftermarket carbs. I saw a knockoff Briggs Flojet for ~ 40$ . I thought these were a coupla hundred OEM. The Tecumseh carbs OEM are likely not a gift either.
