I know to plow snow there are 2 brackets on the rear that have to be turned around . This is so the installation of tire chains dont hit the tractor I do believe, you cant turn as tight.I didnt buy mine to till or blow snow , and never heard of tilling with one. I purchased it to mow and tow carts. If you plan to buy one demo it on your property that is important. If you cant get in to places any better than a 2 wheel steer the extra cost is not warranted. How many dealers in your area?

After much searching I found wheel spacers that work on the X534. JD part number is BM22725.
I run a 48" snow blower and blade and plan to add a mechanical tiller. Really like this tractor.

I have had mine 2 years an it does what I want it to do.
Question , do the spacers make the wheels stick out noticeably more? and how about turning radious?

Have you thought about how much stress tilling will put on the rear wheel steering linkage? As long as you always go in a straight line I'm sure it's fine, but I'd be especially careful if you end up turning at all while tilling. Better check with the dealer first. I'm sure it's fine, I'm just thinking out loud, err.. in type.

Hi, I am in a similar boat. I inherited the X534 and am looking to add the tiller. I realize this thread is 10 years old. Wondering if you’ve had any regrets with adding the tiller and wheel spacers.
