john deere mulching.

My 534 mows great with the John Deere mulch kit , but come fall when its time to crack leaves it is so, so. I mow forward and reverse to get rid of the leaves this works but dont like reverse mowing this much. Is there an aftermarket mulch kit that will give a better mulch , all around the deck is 48 inch . My neighbor picks his up I feel if there is not too many mulching is BEST...

| Have you tried Gator blades? I find they work better for me than the JD mulching blades that came with my mulch kit. Even so, when there are too many leaves in my yard (I can tell when from previous experience) then I blow them into the barked areas of my yard before I mow. |
