I would think that the trans is not quite mounted in the correct position. IE the side you repaired is too far forward or back. So the reverse is moving further in than it had and forward is not engaging as far.

Makes sense. Funny part is when I re mounted it I put it in the same position it was in. I will fool with it over the weekend and repost back here to see if that works. Thanks for the quick response.

I gather you have a Transaxle? no gear shifting?
On a transaxle the linkage that moves for forward and reverse sounds like it now needs a slight adjustment. You need to adjust for more forward direction and less reverse.
