| Hi,
I'm a new gardener with a 4-5 year old cherry tree we planted last spring. Can anyone tell me what the little red growths are on the tree? I'm trying to figure out if it's diseased or if these are normal to see. thanks for your help... |

| I don't know what those thingies are called, but they are perfectly normal. They produce sweet sap that attract ants, and ants do not only eat sap but also pest bugs like aphids. |
