OK-was down in Florida at that time and not computing much-but the main takeaway appears to be that this pest-it really is a pest-was known only from certain parts of China originally, controversy in other thread noted, and had spread into Viet Nam et al some time in the past. Not native there....present there, just as not native here, but now present, at least in PA.

The other item in the AN article is the host range (for feeding) which is not small. So all the whooping and hollering about an insect to eat all the Tof H may be premature. Everything from the fruits, as I mentioned, to pines! That's quite a range and certainly cause for concern-or however one reacts to such news.
