New Insect Pest....Likes Tree Of HEaven!

Lycorma deliculata-spotted lanternfly-not really a fly but more of a plant hopper-has been spotted in PA. This insect has brilliant orange-red hind wings and lots of other colorful markings which make ID easy. Hosts are a wide range of plants which grow here in N. America, including especially fruit trees. To top it off, it is attracted preferentially to tree of heaven.

The news I read is in the latest American Nurseryman. I couldn't tell from the article if it feeds on T of H or just hangs out there and breeds. In any case, with all the T of H talk here lately, thought it a timely item. Looks like it could be (more) trouble.
