ask the seller to discount it 25% more.... as is ... its last years stock .... i dont care if he already has it marked down 50% ... does he want your cash or not ....

how big is the pot .... how long has it been sitting in the nursery

is it a good nursery.. who takes care of their potted stock???

in the alternative.. have it tagged ... and dont take delivery until it leafs out.. and then dont buy it.. if there is significant damage ...

Can't really determine anything from that picture. It's winter - so without touching easily snapped, obviously dead branches or lack of buds, I can't tell what's dead and what's not.

I wouldn't touch it. We bought a Bihou a few couple years ago. Even with VERY mild winters, had LOTS of dieback the first year, and did die the second winter. Does not seem to be a strong plant at all.
