Can you help me identify these please?

Hi guys I know nothing about trees but I am writing this essay for my college application about diversity and I took this picture of my backyard. My house sits on .5 acre so I think it's interesting we have so many different types. So I was wondering if you guys could help me out with the name and maybe where they come from (if that is how trees even work).

I live in southern california by the way.. if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me!!

#3 is Turkish Pine Pinus brutia

In #4, the narrow trees at the right are Mediterranean Cypress Cupressus sempervirens.

<img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg" width=600>

For example, <img src="http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/ae40/equinebeing/photo3.jpg" width=600> produces:
