Help needed to find a Tree!

Hi

I have been looking for some time for a Nothofagus Fusca. I know its from New Zealand, and I believe these use to be available in the UK, but I cant find anywhere to stock them. Its for my mother in law - she use to have one many years ago and its her favourite tree, she has tried herself to find one over the years with no luck. She is very keen and acomplished gardener.

I have tried a few New Zealand nurseries with no luck. One has said they can supply but I would need to sort out the customs etc.

Does anyone know if these are available anywhere in the UK or Europe.....or know anything about shipping something like that from New Zealand!

Any advice much appreciated.

RHS lists two sources - see link below

Another possible source would be to check with Goodnestone Park Gardens which has a nursery that sells plants raised from specimens in the garden since they have Nothofagus fusca growing there and might have some. There isn't a plant list on line.

Esveld in the Netherlands is normally a good source for rare trees. They can probably order the tree for you, if no other nursery can
