What were you thinking might happen?

Would you apply the same rationale for pruning within 10 days of a rainfall?

first.. did you go buy a tree saw.. rather than a lumber saw ...

or a tree blade for your sawzall????

it really makes a difference ...

rain or snow does not make a difference ,.. nor does temp .. nor anything else... your only concern is if sap is flowing.. and i dont even get all wound up about that.. if i decide.. some branch or tree must be put to death ... trees have been self pruning themselves for millions of years.. dont go overthinking all this ...

and no goo.. paint.. sealer.. or anything.. only roundup on the cut trunk.. if you want to kill the root system ....

remember rule #5 .. safety first ...

and.. if you dont know what a branch collar is.. google that term ... and prune appropriately ... no stubs.. and no clear cutting to the trunk ...
