| Hi, i live in Vic, and have recently discovered a Fig tree has popped up in the backyard, since the fires came through, it is unfornately growing right against my fence and is about 70cm high at current, i was going to get rid of it but everyone thinks i should keep it, i understand figs can be grown in containers and am now considering this, when is the best time to dig her up? and how do i go about doing it... i mean in terms of figuring out how wide and deep to dig and is there a special type of potting mix/soil i should use, also once in a container how often should i re-pot it?
Thanks in advance |

| Best time to dig it up will probably be after it goes dormant for the winter. Just wait and watch for the last of the leaves to fall off, wait a couple weeks longer, then you should be safe to dig it up. |
