| To me, the plant in the photo seems like it has the particularly thick, leathery leaves of the cultivar 'Amate' -- which is certainly a possibility, since this cultivar, which was introduced around 1980, has been produced by the millions and millions for the interior and landscape trades. Brassaia actinophylla is the scientific name of the species. Should be readily available in nurseries, I would think -- its very common in the mass market foliage plant trade here in the north at places like Home Depot. |

| Yes, should be quite easy to find - if you are in a mild enough area for these to be grown outside with any frequency. |
