Sorry to sound cynical, but what's the deal? Is there something special about these pecans? Why have the contest to give them away? Why require us to go to a blog and send in our email addresses? Like I said, maybe I'm making something simple too complex, but the questions popped into mind when reading your post.

I wanted to let people who are interested in growing pecan trees from seed to know that my dad is having a blog giveaway. I am not giving them away, my dad is. It's simple as that. He has been selling lots of them these past months - he had a really good crop of them. Lots of people are interested it seems. So I am sharing with all of you. And yes the seeds are special being hardy and native to our area. If you want to read the whole story check out my dad's past posts about it - it's very interesting. I have no idea why there would be a problem with my dad giving away pecan seeds through his blog. . . Perhaps you are suspicious because you haven't entered any blog giveaways. They are a lot of fun, I've won lots of great stuff! And leaving your email so my dad can contact you if you won makes sense doesn't it?

In the comments section on Tom's blog- "I have seen Tom multiple times sneaking into our pecan groves and shooting the squirrels. Tom doesn't even like meat." Hahahaha. WTF ? Tom, you don't like squirrel? Man, you don't know what you're missing. Pecan is the state tree of Texas, and we plant 'em just so we can have a reliable source of squirrel. Mmm mmm mmm.
