picea pungens are conifers.. all the real 'cultivar' nuts are in the conifer forum .... though many do visit here ...

they are also trees.. are planted like trees.. and grown like trees...

but if you want 'names' .. you might want to ask in the other forum ...

now.. all that said ... i really dont understand your parameters ...

you want a blue one.. but not too blue ... silvery is not really a conifer descriptive term ...

i suggest you start at the link... and find a picture that is akin to what you want.. and then find the associated cultivar name ...

latin rules.. when IDing a precise conifer ... so look for something like: Picea pungens "cultivar name here"

i have no clue if pungens will thrive in slovenia ... have you figured that out first???? [nor why you list that.. and then your members page indicates US ... where are you ...?? ... they do not thrive across the whole US]

From what I've heard, blue spruce trees vary a lot in color from individual tree to tree. Some specimens within the same species are a very distinct blue while other trees are green in color.

Yes im from Slovenia. Picea pungens thrive nicely in Slovenia, we had one of them at our backyard, it was 20 years old, until we need to cut it down due to a dissese .

How about Picea obovata var. coerulea.

Picea pungens 'Gail's Skyline' is a potential fit.

I didnt express myself right. What i meant with the narrow is that the main stem is growing straight upward. The shape of a conifer should be a shape like cone.
I've searched trough the internet and found some nice types of picea pungens, such as 'Koster', 'Hopsii', 'Edith'. Hopsii is considerd to be the most beautifull, but it has troubled growth, bushy growth. Anyone has some experience with one of these?

Hoopsii when mature is very big! Width is easily 13-15M diameter. Yes the color is beautiful.

Edith when mature is large. Width easily 8+ M.

If your last Picea pungens became diseased, I would guess your climate is growing them, yet long-term not a good choice. It's the same where I live. They are planted but as they become older they have disease issues. Humidity is the cause, usually. Dry climates without humidity is where Picea pungens grows well.

The blue form of Picea obovata var. coerulea is better for your climate. It's beautiful tree that is purchased grafted.
You still get the beautiful tree but you don't get the disease issues.
