it can take a tree or shrub.. 1 to 2 years to get past transplant shock... and get re-Established....

so it seems you should be at that point in time...

dont know how you planted them.. if you deal with clay.. potted.. ball and burlap.. no pic ....etc ... and there are many other variables which can delay re-establishment ...

i NEVER fert trees and shrubs.. and conifers.. on my sand.. they simply dont need it.. look around you.. the landscape is not barren ...

besides.. if they are near the lawn.. and the lawn is fert'd.. they will get what they need ...

keep them properly watered.. subject to the link i gave you in your oak post ...

w/o a pic.. all i can suggest.. presuming they are alive.. the only thing that failed.. was your expectations of how fast they will grow ... and they will grow... when they will grow... you cant change the genetics .... and they are not children.. who need to be fed ...

Ken, thanks for your thoughts and advice. I apologize for not posting in the Conifer forum. Actually, I didn't realize it was a Conifer! I am a beginner at this stuff. I actually paid little attention to trees/shrubs/gardening until I bought my first house. I will move this topic to the Conifer section.
