| Does anyone have a source for (Symplocos paniculata)sapphireberry? So far, I have only found a seed source on ebay. Apparently they are very difficult to grow in containers. Not so if directly planted.

| Whitman Farms (excellent Garden Watchdog rating) has them in 1-gallon pots. A few wholesalers also list them in current inventory. |

| Polly Hill Arboretum (acid sandy soils) considers them a noxious weed. I bet you could part a lot of free seedlings from them (as well as a million Stewartia seedlings). It's all about perspective... |
