Fraxinus Oxycarpa Golden Desert Ash - What do you know?

Bummer, I had decided upon an Acer Truncatum and had 3 nurseries looking for a 2-3 inch caliper. I found ONE (these are hard to find here in Medford), which I may yet get, but it has a co-dominant branch and the trunk flare is okay but not great. The next option was a Carpinus Betula Frans Fontaine but I was hoping for something more rounded.

What can you tell me about the Golden Desert Ash? I understand it will accept a higher ph, do okay in clay soil with less than perfect drainage, is drought tolerant and a moderate grower to 20-25 tall x 18-20 wide. Is that correct? I have clay with a ph of 7-7.5, okay drainage, hot western exposure. Is this a messy tree? Any problems? Any specific cultural requirements?

Thanks everyone (smile).
