| I purchased an abandoned home with land from family and was told we have fruit trees. They are all budding and blooming and the only tree I can't ID is this. |

| That appears to be American Fringe Tree. Not a fruit tree at all. Excellent small ornamental tree. Flowers as in the picture, yellow in the fall, and blue drupes if a female plant. Arktrees |

| lima, how lucky for you, American Fringetree or you may have an alternate common name down there. This one is widespread in its native habitat from NJ to W Va south to Florida and westward to Texas. The showiest ones do not bear fruit, the ones with functioning ovaries in flower may not be so showy but can be heavy laden with fruit, sorry, we can't eat it. |
