| Hi, I have seen a lot of this kind of trees in the neighborhood. I think that it looks just like a pear tree. However, I have never seen any one of this kind of trees in the neighborhood bearing fruits. Thus, I am not sure if this is a pear tree or not. Please ID it. Thanks

Yes, yes, yes. You are less likely to find/see fruit if all the Pyrus calleryana in your neighborhood are a single clone/selection. This species is notoriously self-incompatible. What do you think of the fragrance of its blooms?

This is an "ornamental" pear tree - doesn't bear large pear fruit. Just tiny fruit about the size of a grape. By the way you can also find these on the side of the road as well.
Here is a link that might be useful: Who let the pears out?

A very unusual specimen, it hasn't fallen to pieces yet! Resin

It is just so pretty now with all the white flowers. If it also bears the big juicy pears, that would be just perfect!!! LOL. Thanks for ID it

Alas, chueh, it won't bear those big juicy pears. I did, however, teach a co-worker to graft and provided her with fruiting pear scions, and she worked several branches on her large callery pear to fruiting selections. Visitors were often surprised to see those branches with sizeable fruits hanging here and there in her 'Bradford' until it finally fell apart, as they are wont to do here, around 10-15 years.
