| I'd like to plant a Bartlett pear tree, but am wondering if it is self pollinating. I don't really have use for a second pear tree as I will be unable to eat that many pears. Some websites I have seen say that Bartlett pear is self-pollinating, but won't produce as large of a crop. If so, that might be ideal. Anyone have experience with just a single tree? Does it work, and how large of a crop can one expect?
Thanks,

| Yes, isolated trees of this cultivar often fruit. |
