| Over the winter we had a wet snow fall which weighted down a few branches on my columnar blue spruce, and left them splaying outward instead of upright (even though I removed the snow the next day. I was hoping these branches would spring back into place, but they haven't. The tree is about 10 feet tall, and I can reach the splayed out branches with a small ladder.
What is the best way to fix this problem? Whatever the fix, I will probably have to wait until a fairly new robin's nest that is located in the lower part of the tree is vacated. Thanks in advance for any advice! |

| Unfortunately this plant is known to do this eitherway. Otherwise get some green stretch tape and time the branch back up towards the main trunk. After about a year it should stay in place. |

| I would actually WIRE the branches into place, using the kind of copper wire Bonsai growers use, albeit probably in a larger size/diameter. Be sure to adjust as needed to allow expansion of the bark. In a pinch, though, I have used bungee cords to prop up sagging branches. Those can be pretty effective, too, and are easy to use. |
