Would 6' distance from the house okay...

So I planted the dogwood today!! Ken said no tree goes to 5-6' from the house period, and I measured it and omg it's exactly 6'.

I got fixated on triangulating it with three lilac bushes and I don't know, there was no way to make it further than this (unless I make the planting bed larger which was not possible today due to this being raised bed and all).

Now I'm totally loving the tree but at the same time panicking a bit. Should I get a shovel tomorrow and plant it farther out (which means I'll have to give up on the other green shrubs), or am I fine here? This tree looks so small I just cannot imagine it would grow large enough to touch the house. :p
