Mystery Tree I can't Figure it Out!

Hello there,
I have a tree in my yard whose identity has been driving me crazy. I have spent a lot of time (too much time ;) online trying to find its name with no luck. It has twice pinnately compound leaves ( I just learned that term ;) , little seed pods, and a trunk with folds in it. If it has flowers then there are none at this time of year. The leaves are Very tiny and about 20 each. I have several pictures. Oh, and I am in the Los Angeles area but it doesnt look like a California tree that Ive ever seen but who knows.

Here are the pictures:

Thank you for help! I'll be able to sleep again once I know..haha

Clearly an acacia, but I wouldn't begin to try to venture what one, they are too far removed from my experience, since they don't grow here. But, I recognize the foliage from working for years a florist, acacia is used in the floral trade as both a foliage and for the flowers of certain species.

Looks like a Cootamundra wattle.

'Wattle' being the common name for a large variety of Acacias :-)

Yellow flowers in late winter/early spring.

People plant Acacia baileyana up here but it's too tender to persist outdoors for more than so many years. There used to be one inside the conservatory at Wright Park in Tacoma, it may have been there for quite some time. Last time I saw it there were conks coming out of the trunk - not a good sign.
