Grafting Chionanthus virginicus onto Fraxinus spp rootstock

Wiki says this is possible. I can't imagine how horrible the graft union would look within only a decade after the graft was performed.
There is no citation for this claim on the wiki page.
Can anyone verify/refute this claim?
