If in the yard, just keep mowing them. They will eventually give up. If not in the yard, application of one of the glyphosate or triclopyr products (a drop or two per sucker) to the freshly cut sucker stumps will work, but you may have to do multiple applications. It's a real shame that the stump wasn't treated to start with. That would sure have made things simpler and easier.
