We are about to lose three more trees! Two oaks are dead, one died in the fall, but I was hoping against hope I was wrong, and one has just suddenly died. The second is probably due to poor drainage caused by neighbors raising soil level on their side of the fence-yeah, I know, they aren't allowed to do that, but we didn't notice at the time. The third is a hickory that is leaning and has been leaning for the 16 years we have been here. Now, it is beginning to heave and raise the ground on one side. Ugh. Wouldn't worry if it weren't likely to hit our other neighbors' house. Of course, we aren't crazy about them, so...no, that thought is just so wrong.

Now, not only are we losing more trees (the reason we bought this house was all the huge old trees), but I need to move more than a few hosta that are sure to get trampled in the tree removal. Ugh. Already planning on replacement trees. That will be the only fun part of this.
