| This is the earliest I have ever seen M. grandifloras commence new
growth. Usually, this starts in May here. Also, really early to have leaves on Crape Myrtles. No question here, just a comment on the strange year For us gardeners. |

| Things were progressing similarly here until the frost zapped almost everything the other day. Now my entire crape myrtle collection is completely brown and a few small trees experienced noticeable stem die-back. |

| If the temps start shooting up in a couple of weeks, it would be interesting to see if the crape myrtles bloom in mid-May here?! |
