if you started it from seed last year.. and its already 2 foot tall .. how much more faster do you want it to grow .. i have acorn oaks that take 3 years to that size ...

it will flower.. when it has a mature enough root mass.. to consider itself sexually mature.. to generate the flower.. to entice the bee ... to attempt to make seed ..

ahhhh .. but you knew that.. lol .. and you want me to tell you when that is ... no one knows ...

If it was catalpa ovata, probably would flower this year or next, others take a little longer it seems.

I don't know what type of catalpa it is. I started it from seed. I collected seeds from a Catalpa tree on Lakewood St, Lake in the Hills. It's a very tall catalpa about 50 ft.
