I have the receipt and a 1 year warranty on it but the ones they have left are leafless as well. for the price (60.00) I wont find another at a good nursery the same size. Might as well leave it there till next spring and see if I can trade it in then... I peeled back a bit of bark and it has a layer of green but the tiny buds just won't break open.

They should be leafy by now for sure. Did you do the bark scratch test? Sounds like you need to get your money back.

I did scratch it and it has green under the surface IDK why it won't leaf out but its got about 2 more weeks to do it or its getting cut down and hauled back to lowes.

mine have just BARELY started leafing out... although it is colder here. If the warranty is 1 year, then wait a month. It has been a bad winter and redbuds leaf out really late anyway.
