you need to pull up a chair.. obtain adult beverage.. and spend an hour looking at this plant.. and really 'seeing' it .. and make a game plan for 3 years from now ...

and then.. once you sober up ... you start cutting.. to achieve your 3 year goal ....

Yours looks much more balanced than mine, but there is still a huge amount of time for shaping when they are only 10' tall. When I chop I do like bboy says, cut one and step back, then cut another. Look down the road when you will have have had plenty of time chopping for balance, not chopping for next year as this puppy will likely send more suckers up to help you balance future growth. Try to learn and understand how 'Autumn Brilliance' works. In the interim enjoy the spring flowers and fruit, then autumn color.

FYI, ken likes to view all of his plants and future chopping with an adult beverage...
