They throw their voice to "throw off" predators. Neat trick. Crickets do it too.

Chorus frogs here are almost impossible to track down by their voice -- even when it seems right in front of you.

Catch a chorus or tree frog & put it on your shirt -- it sticks.

My neighbor has a pond and in the late spring and summer the frogs croak all night. I like them but not the Mosquitos, I wish the neighbors would use those discs that stop the skeeters from hatching. I love trees because of their beauty and most important to me their shade and cooling of the temps. I can't wait until I can walk in my yard and not have to be in the sun for too many steps. I may have to live long for that, another 20 years at least, I'll be 62 then.
