Tree ID help please...

I bought this last year at the end of the summer in the discount bin at a local chain store, it was my 1st ever landscaping purchase and I really didnt know what to look for at the time. The tag said "Eastern Redbud"...does it look like that could be correct? It is starting to leaf out, but no flower buds in sight. Tried to get some pics, but my camera would not focus up close. I have 2 more pics i will post in following posts.
