| Hey guys, hope you don't mind me popping in from the Perennials forum...need some help from the tree people.
I noticed this damage on my Ed Wood Japanese Maple a couple of days ago, no clue what's going on. He was fine up until then - leafing out nicely, no damage that I had noticed. This is his third spring, no damage or any problems whatsoever until now. Not sure if it's disease, weather damage or what - ? . Appreciate any help you can offer.

JM's are very tender ... at leaf out ... ken |
