Weeping cherry trees

Which is the smallest kind of pink weeping cherry trees for zone 5? Also how much space should i leave in between two of those trees? I would love to plant 4 on the edge of a circular driveway.

Thank you!

they are extremely variable in z5.. need to know where you are ....

and it wouldnt hurt to have some idea of the size of the circle and the drive ...

as for size.. check the link

the real downside.. IMHO ... is the transitory nature of the show itself.. many a spring.. i get no flower at all.. due to frost prior to bloom ... and that is an issue of your micro climate ...

and also.. if it is to bloom in a minor early heat wave.. like it did this year.. and frosted two days later.. the show is VERY SHORT ....

i just dont know.. how reliable your dream would be .. in MY z5 .. so we need to know.. as i started.. where you are ...

these aren't really trees that can ne admired in the grand splendor when planted closely.

as far as how close CAN you plant them...as close as you want. it's your own business. although mature size would put in the approx. 20' range...so perhaps a little closer if ya want to squueze them and perhaps a little farther if ya don't want them closing up quite so quick.

i'm trying to envision an allee planted with weeping cheeries...and the thougt that comes to mind is...do you tend to get a lot of snow and how far off the drive would you be planting these?

I am in Plymouth, Michigan. The area where they would be planted is approx. 50' by 20'. It is a semicircle. I would suppose that the distance between the trees and the driveway would have to be at least 8'.

Thank you for the link, Ken. I had seen several of those pictures already. I love most of them.

My problem with the size is that the range of spread (15' to 30') leaves me clueless. It is a big difference! I want to plant the most trees without crowding them.

Thank you both for taking the time to help me. :)
