Its leaves were real small. Lots of light green leaves. All brown and crunchy now :-(

It COULD always recover I suppose. In the big sense I would vote for doing nothing till the end if the month just in the event it has enough stored energy to rebud after regular watering.

I will assume your area if Texas is plenty warm already so prime planting time is not till fall. By then you will have been in the house longer and noticed what trees look good in your area.

Some of the fellas on here have some good looking shantung maples I think they are called...
