| Hi all,
We have a maple tree in our back yard that isn't doing too well. Here are the symptoms; -bark pealing off of some of the limbs
I have no idea how old the tree is and we've only lived here for 2 years. Last year it did much better than it's doing so far this year. Here are a couple of photos... Note the contrast to the tree on the other side of the house which also happens to be a maple. So the question: Is this tree dying of age or is there something wrong with it that we can correct? Thank you all for your time and feedback! |

| it doesnt matter what is wrong.. IT HAS TO GO ... too close to the house .. and severely damaged back in time.. and rooting while you sleep .. overhanging your investment ... almost looks like a lightening strike ... where are you.. any historical storms in say the last 5 years ... tornados .. hurricane??? .. there has been some very poor pruning of what i presume was severe damage .... there is no 'fixing' .. what is wrong with that tree ... ken |

| Yeah, it's toast. You might never know what the cause of its demise was. Ken asks some good questions. There is no cure for a tree in such a state of decline though. +oM |
