Photobucket I forget who sent me the seeds, but here's the result of that persons effort. It is in shade so hasn't grown a large spurt, it will be the successor of the old maple that shades it. The maple is hole ridden, but my mom planted it so I can't remove it until it practically falls down itself.

Good work. It was likely me who sent shingle your way cause I grew them here as well. I know for sure I sent blackjack, among others.

I only have the one shingle oak, we have cats and I've since then learned to use milkcrates and metal baskets with holes in them to cover seedbeds, or they become litterboxes. I got a Holm and English ( Ilex X Robur) hybrid and I think they killed it with pee. Anyhoo, Thanks for the Shingle I don't know what I would've done with them if I had a bunch of them anyway.
